Webshop Terms and Conditions
Version 1 October 2026
1. About us
These terms apply to consumer orders from Brouwerij Hoppug, a trading name of As Things Develop bv. Our contact and returns address is Bel 32, 2440 Geel, Belgium. Company and VAT number: BE 0729.994.383. Contact us at info@hoppug.be.
2. Ordering and payment
The product page and order summary show the products, quantities and prices. Prices are in euros and include VAT. Delivery charges and discounts are shown before you place your order. Clicking the order button places an order with an obligation to pay. You receive confirmation by email. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you and refund any payment for products we cannot supply.
You can use the online payment methods available at checkout: Bancontact, debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, or bank transfer. Wallet availability depends on your device and payment card. For bank transfers, payment instructions follow your order. We process orders after receiving payment.
3. Age
Our shop sells alcohol only to people aged 18 or over. This is Hoppug’s sales policy, including for products for which the law allows a lower minimum age. You confirm your age at checkout. The age gate for visiting the website does not verify identity. We may request valid proof of age and refuse a sale if our age policy is not met.
4. Delivery and collection
Delivery costs €8.50 and is free for product totals of €85 or more after discounts. Collection by appointment in Geel-Bel is free; select the collection option at checkout and we will arrange a time with you.
After payment is received, allow 0–2 working days for processing and 1–3 working days for transport. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Belgian public holidays. We will inform you of delays. You may cancel an undelivered order free of charge after 30 days; your other statutory rights in the event of non-delivery remain unaffected. We bear the risk of loss or damage until you, or a third party you appoint other than the carrier, receive the goods.
5. Damage and statutory guarantee
You are entitled to products that match your order and to the statutory guarantee of conformity. New consumer goods generally have a statutory guarantee period of two years from delivery. For drinks, their nature, stated shelf life and storage instructions are relevant; this does not mean that every drink will keep for two years.
Report a defect as soon as possible and no later than two months after discovering it to info@hoppug.be. For visible transport damage, we ask you to contact us preferably within 48 hours so we can help promptly. This request does not restrict your statutory rights. Photos of the product and packaging help us assess the problem, but photos or original packaging are not general conditions for exercising your statutory guarantee.
Subject to the statutory conditions, you are entitled to repair or replacement free of charge, or, where the relevant conditions are met, a price reduction or termination with a refund. Contact us before returning damaged goods so we can agree on a safe solution. We bear the costs of remedying a covered defect.
6. Withdrawing from your order
As a consumer, you may withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason within 14 calendar days, starting the day after receipt. If products from one order arrive separately, the period starts the day after receipt of the last product.
Email an unambiguous statement to info@hoppug.be, or send it to As Things Develop bv / Hoppug, Bel 32, 2440 Geel, Belgium. You may use the model form below, but do not have to. No reason or prior permission is required.
You then have a further 14 calendar days from notifying us to return or hand over the products at the returns address above. You pay the direct return costs for an ordinary withdrawal. Incorrect or defective products are covered by the free remedies in the guarantee section.
Pack fragile items carefully. We recommend keeping the original packaging, but opening or not retaining the shipping box does not exclude withdrawal. You are only liable for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Opening or drinking a bottle may cause such a loss in value, up to the full value of that bottle.
Statutory exceptions may apply to products that deteriorate or expire rapidly and to sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. We will inform you before purchase if such an exception applies to a particular product. There is no general exclusion for all beer or cider.
7. Refunds following withdrawal
We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after receiving your withdrawal notice. For a full withdrawal, this includes the payments received and the cost of the cheapest standard delivery we offered. Any extra cost of a more expensive delivery option you selected is not refunded. For a partial withdrawal, we refund the returned products; delivery charges that would still have applied to the products you keep remain payable.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier, unless we offer to collect the goods ourselves. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method at no cost to you.

9. Questions, complaints and disputes
